The Institute for Research and Technological and Social Projects - IPSO was founded on March 25, 1993, and is a civil non-profit and nonpartisan. The institute aims to conduct studies, research and projects in the field of political-economic challenges that accompany the technological changes in course and outcome of the forms of social organization, cultural and labor.
Aims to:
• Establish and maintain a documentation center to serve as a reference and a basis for consultations, studies, research and projects;
• Encouraging and developing projects of technical, scientific, educational and cultural that meet the interests of its members, social groups and public and private entities;
• Promote dissemination of knowledge data and information about the innovations of thought in areas of social, political, economical, technological and cultural.
Over the past five years, the IPSO has established agreements and partnerships with recognized institutions such as Bank of Brazil Foundation, Network of Social Technology, Sebrae, National Institute of Information Technology, Knowledge City at USP Prefecture, Campos do Jordao, Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Planning.
In the cultural area, the IPSO is part of the National Culture Alive. It is the seat of the Ponto de Cultura Vila Buarque, by agreement with the Ministry of Culture. Develops work with movie clubs, community radio and digital culture in a region of the center of the capital characterized by the existence of more than forty NGOs, partners of this project, such as Oboré, Education Action, Union of Journalists, the Brazilian Union of Writers etc.
